“There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove alltraces of reality.” - Pablo Picasso.
In Cubism, objects were broken down and reimagined, their essence distilled into geometricfragments that drifted in an open space, superficially resembling relief. As Cubism developed, initially perceptible objects dissolved into a kaleidoscope of overlapping planes andmonochromatic tones, represented by the enigmatic works of Picasso and Braque during the Analytical Cubism period (1910– 12).
You are invited to experience the exhibition “Image Reconstructed” at VCCA, to discover the worksthat are dynamically and automatically displayed through various projection media with high resolution and diverse scale. Set within a minimalist designed space with lighting carefully restrained to highlight only the works, the paintings will emerge as the focal point and the only vividobjects, immersing viewers into a rich and exciting art universe between the dialogues of lines, shapes, and colors.
