CONCERT: "THE SUN, THE RAINT AND THE ADVENTURE OF PUM"
A thrilling and fascinating story told by music about Pum and his journey to save the drought garden. How did Pum find the Sun and Rain? Would his mother's garden be green again? Children, let's come and listen to the story through a rustic, free-flowing "voice" of bamboo musical instruments and many other ethnic instruments.
The program will take place at 19:30, June 1st 2019 as a special gift that VCCA is please to bring to all kids on this year's International Children's Day.

Conductor Dong Quang Vinh
Dong Quang Vinh is a talented young conductor who is frequently invited to conduct for many leading orchestras in China, Vietnam and abroad. Born into a family with long music tradition, Dong Quang Vinh has the ability to perform a variety of ethnic instruments and has represented the country many times to perform on many major international stages. In Vietnam, he currently works as conductor and lecturer at the Department of Theory, Composition and Conducting at Vietnam National Academy of Music; conductor and artistic director of Hanoi Voices International Choir; artistic director and soloist of New Vitality Bamboo Orchestra and Japanese Waraku Bamboo Orchestra; Guest conductor of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theater and Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra
New Vitality Bamboo Orchestra
Founded in November 2013 by conductor Dong Quang Vinh, New Vitality Bamboo Orchestra is the only bamboo orchestra in Vietnam performing purely with all instruments made of bamboo in a symphonic style. The pieces performed by this orchestra are orchestrated or re-arranged by the conductor / soloist Dong Quang Vinh. The orchestra has performed on many big stages such as Hanoi Opera House, Concert Hall of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, representing Vietnam many times to perform on many major international stages. In September 2017, the orchestra represented the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam to participate in Asian Drama and Music Week held in Nanning, Guangxi, China and won a gold medal.

All profits from Wonder's activities go to the Miracle Choir and Orchestra Project - a free music education project for orphans in Hanoi.
