Concert SiaM vol. 40: The Barque
This is also the essence, the spirit of adventure, experimentation, breaking rules, standards orexpanding the boundaries of contemporary music. Much like a boat settling to sail into the sea, the journey of discovery is full of challenges and unpredictabilities, yet also full of attraction and curiosity to explore.
Schubert in a Mug's "The Barque" invites you to join us on this boat, temporarily leaving your familiar cup to explore uncharted lands. The concert will introduce works with diverse experimental colors, challenging the conventions from sounds, harmony to playing techniques; from the composer's compositional structure, communication, the artist's musical approach andperspectives, to the working method, collaboration in experimental areas that always demandimprovisation, coordination, and deep rhythmic reliance on each other.

"Schubert in a Mug" (SiaM) is a classical music project founded in August 2020, consisting of aseries of small and medium-sized concert performances combined talk events, with the desire to open a cozy space where artists and audiences can share their love, curiosity and stories about classical music in the most natural and intimate way.
