Children’s books are a great touch point for young children to discover the beauty of words, of illustrations and the meaningful message of stories so that they can nurture their imagination, empathy and their own dreams. Therefore, a children’s book exhibition with new, engaging and attractive reading experiences will be a great door for children to approach the colorful world of art.
This summer, the first children's book exhibition of The Initiative of Children's Book Creative Content (ICBC) will be held in Vietnam with the theme THE FAMILY - with the belief that family is the solid origin of children, a peaceful place where they are nurtured and educated to grow up healthy and happy.
Through the selection and introduction of 100 children's books on the topic of family that have been published in Vietnam, the Children’s Book Exhibition: THE FAMILY opens up diverse, broad and profound perspectives on family. It evokes children's positive thoughts about loving relationships in the family through the language of children's books.
With 4 exhibition spaces and interactive installations with high educational and aesthetic values, along with a series of art tours, workshops, and performances, Children's Book Exhibition: THE FAMILY hopes to promote the sustainable development of reading culture in families, schools, and communities.
The exhibition will officially open on Vietnamese Family Day, June 28, at the Vincom Center for Contemporary Art (VCCA) and open to visitors for free (with pre-registration) from June 29 to July 28, 2024.
