"THE GARDENERS" Exhibition - Curatorial text

"The Gardeners" was originally borrowed from the poem book title The Gardeners by poet Rabindranath Tagore.

“I ran like a musk deer in the dark woods, raving about my own sweet scent… Lost and wandering; I was busy looking for what I couldn't have and brought with me what I wasn't looking for."

The journey of searching, composing and artistic labor is sometimes very similar to the work process of gardeners, often requiring patience, stillness and a peaceful attitude in harmony with the currents of nature. Because sometimes, artists who have not found what they want in art, through the artistic process, will be led to creative and successful values they weren't expecting. From those poems, the exhibition "The Gardeners" wishes to open a playground where each individual artist will contribute to their own colors, facing idyllic everyday realities and finding value in the simplest things in life. Tagore's poetic, erudite writing is full of philosophical and rich metaphors that relate to the latest works by young talented artists done in 2022 and 2023.
