Workshop “Plant the tiny seed”

 

"Plant the tiny seed" is an interactive workshop for children from 6-10 years of age to explore the journey of the seed through its entire life cycle, as it grows into a beautiful flower in the garden through the book of the same name by Christie Matheron.

Open-ended interactive activities including reading stories, writing rhyming poem, creating picture books in this workshop will help the little ones discover their own "seeds" and inspire their journey to nurture those “seeds” of dream.

In addition, a small art tour at the end of the workshop will take them to visit the artworks are currently showed in the exhibition "The Gardeners", whereby the participants can explore the dreams of young artists. This workshop is co-coordinated by the Educational Curator Phương Vũ and children’s book author Phạm Thị Hoài Anh.

Phương Vũ has worked in variety of roles such as producer, educational curator, art organizer and project manager, with the belief that art can bring mental prosperity to human life. She directly run and produced many programs with various ranges, platforms and subjects including - “Sing for Joy” concert organized biennially at the Hanoi Opera House, “When I was 20” course on Classical Music for non-music major students, Educational concert series for children under the age of 10 and other concerts featuring the pianist Trang Trịnh, the Epiphany music ensemble (UK), etc. Phương is also a long-time manager of the Miracle Choir & Orchestra project – providing free classical music education for impoverished children. The art projects conducted by Phương Vũ have received a number of awards — Charlotte Peace Designer Award by UN – Habitat, Friendship Award for Cultural Projects by Korean Cultural Center – Korean Embassy to Vietnam, to name a few. Phương Vũ is currently the educational curator of the Vietnam Youth Music Institue.

Phạm Thị Hoài Anh is a children's book author who has a great interest in researching and developing educational programs on this range of books. She has participated as counselor and consultant in many projects, namely the National consultant of UN Women Vietnam in 2021 – in which she compiled the reading guide of the book series “Generation Equality – Fairy Tales on Gender Equality” for parents, teachers and educators; consultant for education book project delivering the message of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals to the general public and children of GIZ Vietnam with the Ministry of Planning & Investment.

Phạm Thị Hoài Anh is the author of many warm-hearted family-story books like “Mother’s Heart”, “Daddy’s Hand”, “Goodbye Grandma”. She is also the founder and director of the educational project “Thủ thà thủ thỉ” (tentatively translated as “Whisper to your ears”) to develop the reading culture of children aged 0-12 through educational programs for schools, families and communities.
