ARTISTIC TALK "THE ART OF HA MANH THANG: IN | OUT. SPACE | TIME"
VCCA is pleased to present "The Art of Ha Manh Thang: In | Out. Space | Time", an art talk during “Ellipses” exhibition introducing new works of Ha Manh Thang, one of the most prominent faces of the Vietnamese art scene. The event will take place at 10AM, Saturday on January 5, 2019.
Ha Manh Thang's series of work in “Ellipses” is inspired by the artist’s extensive collection of Vietnamese antiques. Antiques has become a great source of inspiration for him due to its signs of time and the ability to bring up the feeling of nature's spaciousness and tranquility, revealing the deep and delicate mood and views of people in ancient time.
The talk will focus on how the artist convey the inspiration in his works and present them in space, thereby discussing the sensibility of space and time in art. The event is moderated by journalist Truong Uyen Ly with the participation of guests including artist Ha Manh Thang and writer, journalist Nguyen Qui Duc.
